Conclusion

General   + -
The ASUS EAH6770 is an interesting card especially for absolute silent systems. If you do not play games or if you do this on very rare occasions there should be no issues with the card overheating. During our tests only Furmark made the system freeze. Performing 3DMark 11 loops wasn't a problem for the card.   - Fanless

- Overheating Furmark at 78 °C

Performance   + -
A closer look at this cards performance shows that the HD 6770 competes with NVIDIA GTX 550 TI. Playing recent titles at high resolutions and high detail levels wont make you happy. What's possible is a resolution of 1680 x 1050 and lower detail levels. In this case smooth gaming is possible.     - Only casual gaming possible

Overclocking   + -
Overclocking this card really is fun but unfortunately it stops quite quickly. Using ASUS TweakIt one can simply pull the regulator for GPU and memory clock to the maximum. In this case this results in 950 MHz GPU clock speed and 5'000 MHz on the memory. It is possible to run 3DMark 11 under these conditions but with Furmark it takes about two to three minutes and the system will freeze.    - 950 MHz GPU
- 5'000 MHz Memory
- OC not Furmark stable

Recommendation   + -
If you should be looking for a 0 dB video card which is suitable for casual gaming, the EAH6770 DC SL/2DI/1GD5 would be a good choice. For about CHF 150.- (est. EUR 125.-) which is CHF 20.- (est. EUR 17.-) more then what you'd have to pay for a actively cooled version you can get this one.   - Silent PC
- Casual Gaming
- Desktop PC
- Gaming-PC
- Enthusiast-PC
