Conclusion

Regarding the F3-17000CL9D-4GBXL modules, G.Skill succeeded in putting together an overall good memory kit. Also the manufacturing quality and the looks of these modules have been able to convice. Although we have to mention that the looks are really a matter of taste. Nevertheless the heatspreaders cooling capability is good.
As we can see from our graphs the G.Skill F3-17000CL9D-4GBXL modules perform very nice when you give them lower latencies and higher voltage. In this case we were able to reach 2'270 MHz (effictive clock speed) at CL7-11-7-27-1T with 1.70 volt running through the modules. At these latencies this is a remarkable clock speed.
We generally recommend this memory kit to gamers as well as overclockers who want to get a memory kit which performs above average. Unfortunately these modules aren't exactly cheap.

Rating
With the F3-17000CL9D-4GBXL, G.Skill has some solid memory modules in its portfolio. Unfortunately they come at a very steep price tag of CHF 73.- (est. EUR 60.-). Therefore we give it four out of five stars.
