Technical data / specifications
Like the GT 430 the GT 440 is also powered by the GF108 graphics processor
that supports DirectX 11. The GF108 itself is the entry level market product
NVIDIA offers to board manufacturers. This GPU has been redesigned for this very
market and therefore features 4 ROP and 96 shader units. Furthermore the GPU
comes with a 128 bit wide memory interface that supports GDDR5 memory. The core frequency
has been set to 810 MHz, which equals a factory overclocking of 13 MHz. Despite the fact that this card
targets the
entry level market, Asus redesigned the PCB which now comes with a black matte color, an
optimized power design as well as a quite efficient cooler. As a result the card
does not become noisy at all, in fact it is subjectively silent.
