Already at a first glance the ASUS P8H67-M EVO looks very good with its harmonic design. The colors suite nicely and the different blue tones on a black PCB generate a calming atmosphere. The layout itself is well thought and there is for example enough space around the CPU socket to install bigger air coolers. Looking at the SATA port reveals that there are only two ports which have been angled by 90 degrees. Therefore, if you decide to install a graphics card into the second PCI-Express x16 slot this will render the SATA ports useless.

ASUS equipped the P8H67-M EVO with an 8+2 phase current supply whereas the CPU can rely on eight phases and the memory gets its own two phases. As always ASUS only uses high quality components which ensure a long life span. Furthermore the power supply will also be stable under overclocked conditions.

Totally you'll find four DIMM-slots on the P8H67-M EVO. Officially supported are DDR3 - 1333 / 1066 with up to 32 GByte capacity. The DIMM-slots are quite close to the CPU socket which might cause some compatibility problems with very big aircoolers especially when you choose to install RAM with big heatspreaders.

Southbridge as well as the current converters are being held at adequate temperatures via a passive cooling solution. The aluminium blocks around the CPU socket are quite small which make it possible to install a big aircooler. 1 - Introduction Page 7 - SiSoft Sandra 1 Page 2 - Specifications / Delivery Page 8 - SiSoft Sandra 2 Page 3 - Layout Page 9 - Super Pi / wPrime Page 4 - Connectors and I/O Page 10 - Games Page 5 - Test setup Page 11 - Conclusion Page 6 - Futuremark
