With the Crosshair IV Extreme ASUS presents its flagship motherboard regarding AMD's 890FX chipset. It awaits overclockers and enthusiasts with lots of features and the additional onboard HydraLogix chip by Lucid, that we fully tested with latest Hydra Engine drivers and up to three graphic cards, seems to be a promising addition.

ASUS' latest high-end AMD board belongs to their Republic of Gamers series. Based on AMDs current high-end chipset the 890FX, it also features the HydraLogix chip from Lucid that allows you not only to use different graphics cards from the same manufacturer. This chip even makes a setup with one NVIDIA and one AMD card possible. Furthermore it features almost all recent technological innovations such as CrossFire, High Definition Audio 7.1, SATA3/USB3 and of course all ASUS ROG gadgets.
