Conclusion

General   + -
This card is just perfect for budget gamers. For a reasonable price you get a lot of performance and the power consumption is also very acceptable with 127 Watts. Furthermore there is ASUS' DirectCU cooler which really does a great job. It doesn't only keep the card cool, it also does at a low noislevel.   2D-Very silent
Delivery   + -
Regarding the delivery it contains everything you expect from a midrange graphics card. It doesn't matter wheter you're looking for a driver CD or a specific adaptor.   - Box
- Delivery

Performance   + -
If we look at the HD6850 as a direct successor of the HD5770 then the performance is really good. At every benchmark you can see a significant increase which make the card compete the HD5850, which originally has been launched as a high-end single-GPU card. Aware of the fact that the 6850 is a midrange product and the 5850 was a high-end card you can see that AMD changed the product names, which might be very confusing especially for unexperienced users!   - Performance

Overclocking   + -
Overclocking this card really is fun. In this specific case it took us some time until we found the perfect voltage for this GPU but afterwards this little thing was able to hit the 1 GHz barrier. But not only the GPU is fun to overclock. It the same story with the memory. At this point a maximum clock of 1'177 MHz was possible.   - Overclocking 1'000 MHz +

Recommendation   + -
If you're looking for a very well performing midrange graphics card that also comes with a lot of overclocking potential, then the ASUS EAH6850 DirectCU should be a perfect match.   - Budget-Gamer/Overclocker
