The ASUS CineVibe is actually quite a good gaming headset but especially the vibration functionality is able to conjure some kind of a moronic smile onto your face of which you wont be able to get rid of as long as you watch a good action movie or something similar.
Regarding comfort the CineVibe fits perfectly on ones head. The top bail is nicely bolstered and even after hours of gaming it feels like you have almost nothing on your head. Thanks to the nicely cushioned ear pads which fit more or less exactly onto one ears also wearer of glasses will enjoy the CineVibes as very comfortable.
Watching a good action movie with the CineVibe is really impressive. This is where the vibration mechanics shows its muscles and makes an awful lot of fun. During testing we thought this really is the first headset which gives you the feeling of wearing a subwoofer on your ears. We think a headset with this vibration functionality and high quality drivers will be very successful, so please ASUS go for it! The drivers are what leads us to the next point. Be equipped with rather small drivers you should excpect miracles when listening to music. Without the rumble functionality activated there isn't a lot of bass, the middle tones are to loud and the heigths aren't as clear as you might wish them to be. Activating the vibration give you the impression that there is a lot of deep bass and the height become clearer. Overall the CineVibe becomes more balanced.
We recommend the CineVibe to everbody who's looking for something different or something that has that certain something. Even tought sound quality isn't mindblowing the vibration mechanics definitely have to potential to knock you of your chair while watching a good action movie!
