According to the raw technical
data, regarding our comparison tables below, the MSI R5870 Lightning comes
almost standard. Only the GPU and memory clocks have been increased by 50 MHz.
With the Lightning MSI focussed on the electrical parts which have been put onto
the ten layer PCB. As a result MSI claims that the card has unique overclocking
capabilities. All the additional parts needed more space which is the reason
that this card is about two centimeters higher than the reference design.
