The port on the front of the mouse is for when your rechargable AAA batteries run dry, you plug this into your PC via USB and charge them up, still being able to use it at the same time. A glowing LED in the middle of the mouse which is the main status light, pulses when in use and flashes when the batteries are running dry. On the bottom of the PYRA there is the battery slot, the wireless sync button, on/off button and a space to store the micro USB Dongle. Charging the PYRA is quick and can be done while the mouse is being used however after becoming familiar with the feel without wires there is a noticeable difference when the USB charging cable is attached.
The scroll wheel on the mouse is rubber, giving plenty of grip as well as being very usable for switching easily between weapons during gameplay. The Pyra can be used as Right- or Lefthanded mouse. The very small and compact size does not let you use the mouse for hours, after some time the hand feels cramped somehow.
The Pyra glides very smooth on allmost all surfaces without any problem. We even tested the mouse on a wooden table.
On the bottom is the 1600dpi motion blue optical sensor worth 130ips maximum speed, 1000Hz polling rate and 30Gs of acceleration, present. Movement of the pointer is smooth and precise and there is no noticeable lag. Even using the mouse when in sleep mode, it reacts as soon as one of the fronbuttons is pressed.
