The Zowie Hammer isn't a hammer. It actually is a more or less average gaming headset. More in terms of its microphone and less because of the basse which is virtually inexistent. The best thing about the Hammer is its looks but even this will polarize. At least at LAN-parties it will be an eye-catcher.
Talking about comfort we don't think that Zowie did a very good job. The aluminium headband is hard and wearing the headset for hours isn't exactly pleasant. In fact after the test we were very happy to switch to our other headsets.
The worst thing about the Hammer definitely is its bass line which just isn't there. As a consequence listening too music or watching a movie is just awful. And if this hadn't been enough also the middle-tones and the height aren't as clear as they could be. Altogether the Hammer is just not worth its price tag which is rather steep especially with the USB version.
