Conclusion

General   + -
With the Megahalems Megashadow, Prolimatech presents a very powerful and very well manufactured aircooler which also comes with awesome looks. Unfortunately there is no fan included in delivery which is a bit disappointing when you look at this cooler price and consider that it's only compatible with Intel Sockets.   - Performance
- Manufacturing quality
- No fan included

Installation   + -
Reflecting the mounting process, Prolimatech isn't able to convince. They use only one backplate which isn't compatible with AMD sockets. Futhermore you need quite a big amount of force to tighten the screws to the socket brackets. Another minus point is the fact that there is no fan included in the delivery which you could expect as we've already mentioned.   - Perfect fit - Incompatibility with AMD
- Installation

Performance   + -

If you drive our two Noctua fans with 12 volts they are subjectively slient. As we drove the fans at 7 Volts, with 1'000 rotations per minute, we could see that the performance decreased not very much. Therefore you see that this cooler has been optimized for fans with low rotation speeds. Furthermore with the fans at lower rotations speeds the cooler becomes subjectively very silent.

  - Cooling capacity
- Very silent

Recommendation   + -

According to its price this high-end cooler is suitable for PC-enthusiasts, gamer and overclocker who want to cool an Intel system efficiently.

  - PC-Enthusiasts
- Gamer
- Overclocker
- Desktop-PC
