Conclusion
General |
|
+ |
- |
The Fermi based ENGTX470 which features 3.2 billion transistors shows consistent and very good performance. The downsides are the high power consumption and the cooler which becomes very loud. |

Delivery |
|
+ |
- |
The ENGTX470 comes is delivered in a decent box combined with a solid delivery which features different adaptors. You'll also find a manual and drivers CD. In the end there are only two things we miss: first a recent game would have been a nice addon and second a HDMI cable. |

Performance |

Regarding 3D performance there is absolutely nothing to complain. All the values are very good and also from the price/performance perspective the values are good. It furthermore doens't matter if you run theoretical or specific game benchmarks on the GTX470, the performance is very consistent. |

Overclocking |
|
+ |
- |
The Overclocking potential you get with the ENGTX470 is good. With the core voltage on maximum it's been possible to run Aquamark3 at 770 MHz GPU- and 880 MHz Memory-clock. This means a 27 percent increase regarding the GPU clock which is quite good actually. |

Recommendation |
|
+ |
- |
Preferably you put the GTX470 into a well ventilated case and its also an advantage if you don't mind hearing the fan of your graphics card moving tons of air during gaming. Because of this and because of the fact that the performance of this card is overall very good we recommend it to hardware enthusiats who have a flair for overclocking. |
