with the Rampage III Extreme ASUS presents its flagship based on Intels X58 chipset. ASUS really fullfilled the very high expectations with this overclocking monster. They produced an absolutely solid board with an awful lot of features. It doesn't matter if you take the iROG or the additional bluetooth module everything just works perfectly. | -

The layout been very well thought. There really is nothing ASUS didn't think about. Looking at the colors the Rampage III Extreme perfectly fits into the ROG series. Combined with the nice heatpipe chipset cooler the board really looks amazing. Once more the angled SATA connectors are very practical when it comes down to installing all the hardware. |

Overclocking | + | - | |
Overclocking definitely is where the board feels home. It was able to reach a high BCLK and using the iROG connector it's easily possible to overclock the board from another PC. You can even adjust the currents on the fly with iROG. We also noticed when we did exterme overclocking with the Rampage III Exterme it was possible to get another 100 MHz more out of the CPU which just couldn't do with other boards. | -
