The EX58-UD3R definitely is Gigabytes entry level model into the X58 league. Overall it leaves a solid impression and it convinces with its simplicity. Furthermore it's a handy thing for a well performing office PC or a file server, because of the eight SATA ports it's been equipped with. | - Design |

Layout as well as design are well though. The different thing are where you expect them to be and the colors are typical for Gigabyte and generate a harmonic impression. Furthermore the angled SATA ports are very handy and make installing new hardware very easy. The only drawback from a layout point of view are the four DIMM-slots. These will make you buy new RAM modules if you want to install more memory. |
