Allgemein   + -
The Gigabyte X58A-UD7 leaves a very good overall impression and it especially convices with its huge delivery and its suitability for daily use. Enthusiasts as well as gamers will really enjoy the versatile product.   - 24 Phase Power Design

Layout   + -

The X58A-UD7s layout hasn't been arranged that clearly and it therefore leaves a bit an untidy impression. Overall we have to say that it looks like Gigabyte tried to put too many feature onto this board. On the other hand very nice is the color design. The usual blue, white and black scheme has been done very nicely and especially the heatpipe equipped with either the watercooler or the Silent Pipe really is an eyecatcher.

  - Attention to detail
- Angled SATA connectors
- Power- / Reset- / CLR CMOS-Button onboard
- Watercooler and Silent Pipe
- Too many components onboard

Performance   + -
Talking about performance the X58A-UD7 ranges in the center sapan. The boards strenght definitely are memory benchmarks. In 3DMark06 it also did astonishingly well which we something we wouldn't have expected when we look at the other results.   - Memory bandwidth

Overclocking   + -
Overclocking definitely isn't something unknown for the X58A-UD7. In our tests it's been able to reach 225 MHz BCLK which really is way more than enough even if you want to bring for example DDR3 16000 modules to their limit. Furthermore very convenient is the fact that overclocking the X58A-UD7 is quite simple actually and the board also is forgiving if you choose settings which will not work.   - BCLK 225+ MHz

Recommendation   + -
We can recommend the Gigabyte X58A-UD7 to enthusiasts and gamers who are looking for a very well equipped motherboard which also features decent performance.   - Gamer
- PC-Enthusiasts

-Office PC

The Gigabyte X58A-UD7 can be bought at Digitec to a price of CHF 367.- (est. EUR 262.-).
