The
front is equipped with nine 5.25 inch bezels. Three of them cover a fan
which provides the hard drives with fresh air. Looking at the whole front
area the perforated bezels give the Dragon Slayer it's individual looks. |
In
the upper area of the front you find the I/O Panel as well as the ON /
OFF and Reset buttons. What is unique here, however, was the addition of
a USB 3.0 port (blue connector). |

If you want to remove the front panel
you can do so by releasing plastic clips but you should pay attention to
the I/O cables which are fastened to the panel too. Convenient is the
fact that behind the front you find lots of holes to install cables
easily. |
Also the drives are being fixed using a "two point clamping"
mechanism. Therefore a yellow knob in the center of the fixing bar can be rotated
by 90 degree to release the fixing bar. Directly above the harddrive cage
there is a
140 mm Fan which moves a lot of fresh air into the case. |

After removing the front bezels in the
bottom area of the case one is able to take the hard drive cage out of
the case. The three hard drives that can be installed are being cooled
using an 80 mm fan. |
If you should decide to not use the hard drive cage there
is also the possibility to install two additional 5.25'' drives. You'll
find the same "two-point-clamping"-mechanism as there is in the top area
of the case. |
