The interior of the Pure Base 600 is clean and simple, while featuring a classic design and layout. There is space for up to two 5.25" devices, three 3.5" and eight 2.5" drives. All of them can be put on sledges and there is a tool-less mounting system. Unlike many other manufacturers, be quiet! didn't make any mistakes related to positioning of the HDD cages. In fact, they are completely removable and you will be able to reconfigure the internal layout to suite your needs. The motherboard tray is made of solid steel, and it features a big cut out behind the socket, allowing the user to install aftermarket CPU coolers without having to remove the motherboard beforehand. The tray features a number of openings with rubber grommets to allow for neat cable management. Although this mid-tower is compatible with ATX motherboards, the rubber grommets close to the edges of the motherboard are completely covered if you use an ATX mainboard. For example you can't plug the 24-pin and the SATA cables in a straight way since, as we said, the rubber grommets are covered by the board. We have tried with flat and sleeved cables but the result is the same since there isn't enough space. Between the motherboard tray and the right side panel there is enough space to hide plenty of cables. Furthermore the rubber grommets are not firmly in place, which will result in them being pushed out easily. The entire interior, except for the top and the tempered glass panels, has been equipped with soundproofing material to reduce system noise.
In order to check compatibility, we've used an ATX motherboard and an AiO water cooler with a 240mm radiator. As you can see from the pictures there isn't too much space left to install high-end components. Therefore we would like this case to be a little bit higher, since that way a radiator and a set of standard fans could be mounted. So far the fans are colliding with the DIMM slots. A closer look at the specs regarding the height of coolers reveals that they can measure up to 165 millimeter in height. In the case of graphics cards, they can measure up to 280 millimeter in length with HDD cage and up to 425 millimeter without HDD cage.
