With the Zenfone 3 Max, ASUS has a new smartphone in its portfolio, which is available at a very competitive price and features a huge battery. Overall we're curious to find out whether the Zenfone 3 Max is capable of convincing in our review. Despite the mid-range specifications, the Zenfone 3 Max offers a few interesting features like the fingerprint reader and the aluminum frame.

No matter what product you're looking at when it comes to mid-range smartphones, the battle in this segment is always a tough one. Something that adds to the competition in the mid-range segment is that every year old high-end devices cram this segment up even more, becoming available at affordable prices. With the Zenfone 3 Max, ASUS offers a mid-range smartphone equipped with all the latest technologies on the market. There is a Mediatek MT6737M quad-core CPU, a Mali-T720MP2 GPU and 3GB of memory. The internal storage space is 32GB and expandable via micro-SD by up to 256GB. On the connectivity side you get the traditional WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS as well as LTE Cat 4 and a nano-SIM. The display measures 5.2 inches with HD-IPS technology and offers 720x1280 resolution.
