Connectique et I/O
MSI equipped the X99A XPower Gaming Titanium with six angled SATA and four straight ports. All ports offer
6Gbps bandwidth and they're located in the bottom right corner of the PCB. All SATA ports have been wired directly to the X99 PCH and two of them can be combined to a SATA Express port. There is also one M.2 x4 Gen3 slot as well as a U.2 connector, both offering up to 32 Gbps bandwidth. Overall there is state-of-the-art storage flexibility with this motherboard and gaming systems, workstations as well as enthusiasts rigs can be equipped with plenty of drives. As you might expected from a flagship motherboard, there is a debug LED next to onboard power and reset buttons.
In total there are seven fan headers on the MSI X99A XPower Gaming Titanium. This is more than enough to provide a high-end system with adequate cooling and good cable management. All headers offer 4 Pins, which means fan speeds can be controlled from within Windows, via MSIs Software or BIOS.
Looking at the I/O connectors directly at the back-panel MSI equipped the X99A XPower Gaming Titanium with three USB 2.0 ports,
seven USB 3.1 Type A ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C connector, one Gigabit ethernet port, an optical out and an analogue audio panel as well as two threaded connectors for attaching WiFi antennas. Practical: the BIOS reset button.
