Conclusion

Générale   + -
As expected the MSI X99A XPower Gaming Titanium is a well-built motherobard which comes with numerous features. There is for example a great looking design, which has been kept in silver and black. Apart from that there is a very decent power design next to other high quality components. These days the X99 XPower Gaming Titanium sells for 394 Euro, which is anything but cheap, yet not completely overpriced. The two USB 3.1 ports, the M.2 and the U.2 connector are definitely good to have and they've both been wired using four PCIe Gen 3.0 lanes.   - Design

Layout   + -

The MSI X99A XPower Gaming Titanium's layout has been well thought. Once more practical are the angled SATA connectors. Apart from that there are all features gamers and to a certain extent also overclockers want such as onboard power and reset buttons as well as debug LED and OC buttons. Looking at full-sized PCI Express slots there are five and all of them feature metal reinforcements. Apart from that you should be aware, that this is a motherboard with EATX form factor and therefore it's quite a bit larger than your usual ATX PCB. Should you already own a case we recommend to check whether this board fits or not.

  - Ports SATA inclinés à 90°
- Espace autour du socket - 5 x full-size PCIe with metal reinforcement - M.2 & U.2

Performance   + -
Having a closer look at overall 2D as well as 3D performance shows this board comes in 15th in 2D and 12th in 3D. Overall performance is ok but unfortunately there are a few glitches. We also had a look at power consumption and it turns out that this board scores 5th in our energy efficiency ranking, which is a really good result. Especially in idle this board is very efficient.   - Power consumption / Energy efficiency - Performance in general

Overclocking / BIOS   + -
- Agencement clair - Beaucoup d'options

Recommandation   + -
