Conclusion

General + -
The Mionix Castor is a very solid product, and overall, we were impressed by the build quality and the comfortable shape. The RGB backlight is well done and pleasant to see. So far this is one of the best built gaming mice we have ever come accross. The build quality is excellent, all the materials are perfect. The weight and size of the mouse make it suitable for any kind users. Even the pads are excellent, generously sized and the work perfectly on any surface.   - Design
- Build quality

Performance / Ergonomics   + -
As usual, we used the gaming mouse in both 2D and 3D environments for our tests. After a few days of use with standard office applications we can say that, despite being a gaming mouse, the Mionix's product behaves very well in those scenarios as well as in gaming. We tested the Castor with RTS and FPS games without any problems. With only 93g of weight, the Castor is a very light gaming rodent and thanks to its particular shape it is also very comfortable.   - Comfort - Palm Grip / Claw Grip
- Glide pads

Software   + -
The Mionix's software is a pleasant surprise. It is well-structured, easy to use and with a tons of options. You will be able to change the aesthetics as well as all the functional aspects. In addition, the software is very light and even its RAM usage is very low.   - Easy to use

Recommendation / Price   + -
If you are looking for a highly customizable gaming mouse with six buttons, then the Mionix Castor is worth a closer look. Checking prices on Geizhals we find the lowest price to be 56 Euro, which is highly competitive. At this price point the Castor can be highly recommended.
