At a first glance at the Castor we see a harmoniusly designed and ergonomical shape. This mouse has been built to fulfill the needs of right-handed gamers, with the shape allowing for any kind of grip. In addition to that, the Mionix Castor features a very grippy surface with a black matte finish. The quality of the used materials is good and even the soft touch is well made and very comfortable. The back of the Castor features the Mionix logo with customizable backlight. Apart from that this gaming mouse features a total of six buttons which are fully programmable via the software. The top of the mouse features one button to change the sensor resolution. Furthermore there is a solid rubber wheel with backlight. The weight of the entire mouse is at about 90g without cable and the Castor is well balanced.

Mionix decided to equip the Castor with an optical PixArt ADNS-3310 sensor. The maximum resolution is 10'000 DPI, which is more than enough for any kind of gamer. The optical sensor is placed in the center and if you are looking for additonal weight, you will be disappointed, since this gaming mouse does not offer that type of customization. The Netto weight of this mouse, without cable is 90g, which isn't actually very light. Mionix decided to provide the Castor with big glide pads made from teflon, which means they will last very long.
