With the Predator X34 Acer has a gaming display in its portfolio, which makes use of the currently very famous 21:9 format. Equipped with an IPS panel and 3440 x 1440 pixel resolution this is a high-end monitor. Apart from that there is even NVIDIA G-sync in combination with 100Hz refresh rate on board, allowing for effective elimination of tearing effects.
The Acer Predator X34 is based on a curved 34 inch IPS panel, which features 3440 x 1440 pixel resolution and an ultra wide aspect ratio of 21:9. Apart from that Acer promised 300
cd/m2brightness and a contrast ratio of 1000:1.
The Predator X34 from Acer is a die-hard gaming monitor, supporting NVIDIA’s G-sync technology and offering 100Hz refresh rate. Regarding their Predator line-up we like that Acer is paying attention to using the same design language on every product and on top of that we find the design aesthetically pleasing. A quick look at the connector panel shows a DisplayPort 1.2a and an HDMI 1.4 input, whereas you’ll have to use the DisplayPort 1.2a connector if you want to play using G-sync.
With the X34 Acer is using a curved panel. This brings the advantage that the filed of view is increased compared to a flat panel with the same 34'' inch panel. Due to the fact, that the edges are closer to the eyes more area can be squeezed into the same width.
