Analyse

The size of the Core P5 is a rather important fact, since measuring 570 x 333 x 608 mm weighing 12.2 kilogram it's anything but small. Despite being rather big, the Core P5 is not compatible with EATX or XL-ATX motherboards. Mounting this case will take some time and you'll need to pay attention as well. Once you opened the package you will find the flat base where you have to fit and tighten all the slides in order to complete your system.

First of all we suggest to mount the motherboard on the proper standoff and then put the power supply in place. After that we reccomend to put HDDs and/or SSDs in palce. Once this is done, it's time to take a look at the graphics department. As you probably already noticed from the pictures, the graphics card is placed parallel to the motherboard on a special support and connected to the motherboard using a riser PCI-Express cable, which is included in the bundle. After mounting all the supports you need to place the four heavy cylindrical bars in order to then screw plexiglas panel to them.

Once you've put all the components in place and tightened all the screws it's time to think about your cooling options. Although we will have a closer look at that on the following page, we'd like to mention at this point, that there is a mounting bracket included in the delivery to attach a pump.

Assembling our test system includes an ATX motherboard and a large graphics card as well as a modular power supply. During the installation process, we did not notice any problems. The cable routing is almost perfect and easy to handle thanks to the enormous space inside the chassis. In our opinion, given the vast amount of screws and the almost complete absence of tool-less systems, it would be nice to find at least thumb-screws.
