Conclusion
Overall the UMX1 Plus Windowed from Jonsbo is a good case and it's overall a good solution for those, who'd like to build a very elegant and exclusive, small gaming PC. There is quite some space available on the inside of the case, which helps with good compatibility. We appreciate the very small dimensions of this case, and it's remarkable that there is room for a mid-range graphics card as well as an ATX power supply.
Despite initial concerns about the internal layout, Jonsbo did a good job arranging it. The build quality is overall good if not close to perfect. The main body is made from high-quality aluminum while the interior consists of an alloy (Magnesium and SCCC steel). Although the side panels have been rounded, there is quite some space available on the inside. This case is also a lot about looks and this is where the UMX1 Plus Windowed really shines. A quick look at cable management options reveals it's sufficient and allows hiding unwanted wires. Due to the dimensions of this case it's not possibile to use high-end tower coolers (>160mm) however there is good compatibility with 120mm AiO water coolers, in other words you do not have to use low profile coolers. Regarding the GPU, we have used a mid-range graphics card without any issue but if you have something like a small R9 Fury Nano from AMD you can easly do a high-end gaming rig.
The Jonsbo UMX1 Plus Windowed black is available on PC-Cooling.de for 119.99 Euro, while the silver version costs 109.99 euro. Given the high build quality and the fact that there is a decent bundle included, the price is competitive. We award this case with 4.5 stars out of 5.
