The NZXT Grid+ V2 is a digital fan controller that requires the installation of software on your computer. Unlike analog fan controllers where you have knobs or a front panel with buttons, the NZXT Grid+ V2 can be safely hidden behind the bulkhead of your case.
NZXT Grid+ V2 is a simple black box, very similar in size and shape to the media player NZXT Doko. Inside the small packaging of the Grid+ V2 we find five zip-ties, two 3M adhesive stickers, two 3-pin cable extensions, a PWM-Y-cable and the power cable with molex header. The Grid+ V2 is very small in size, similar to a 140 mm fan. If there is 20mm of clearance on the backide of a motherboard tray it can be put there easily.

The NZXT fan controller offers six 3-pin ports, which cope with up to 30 watts load in total. The headers are on two opposite sides while on the other sides there are the DC-IN plug and a micro-USB port. To connect the Grid+ V2 to your computer you have to use an internal USB header with 4 wires.
