Conclusion

The VOID Stereo from Corsair is a good and versatile gaming headset. Despite the relatively high weight of 300 grams, the VOID Stereo still feels very comfortable. It's been very well balanced and there are the large ear cups, which help to distribute pressure around your ears evenly. Furthermore there is the comfortable headband, which also helps increasing ergonomics. It would have been great to find a removable cable on this headset. Nevertheless the cable measures a reasonable two meters. Usually you find an in-line control with gaming headsets but in the case of the VOID Corsair is going volume and microphone controls on the left ear cup.

The sound quality is on a good level, and in our opinion, this headset is well balanced and linear. Nevertheless we would love to hear the mids a little bit clearer. Since the padding used for the ear cups is made from cloth passive noise cancelling could be improved by using leatherette paddings. Overall the VOID appears to be more of an open headset than a closed one, since you can hear ambient noise pretty well, while wearing the headphones. The microphone, which has been placed on a flexible arm, is average compared to other products we've tested over the past years, resulting in well understandable voice, but the quality could not be described as crystal clear.

Checking Geizhals.eu, the VOID Stereo costs 78 Euros excluding shipping costs. The Corsair VOID Stereo scores 4 stars out of 5.
