Totally Gigabyte provided the P55A-UD7 with ten SATA ports of which every single one has been angled. Carring ten SATA ports even a home fileserver could be done with the UD7. If you want to set up a SLI/CrossFire system you can still access the connector on the bottom edge. Almost standard with Gigabyte motherboards these days are the Start, Reset and CLR-CMOS buttons which can be very useful, especially if you do overclocking. What could have been done a bit better is the position of the Start-button. It is very close to the 24-pin power connector and therefore not that easily accessible as it should be.
Totally you'll find five fan header on the Gigabyte P55A-UD7 which is more than enough, to provide a well equipped midrange or high-end-system with fresh air. The fanheaders are located around the CPU socket as well as at the bottom edge of the motherboard.
Looking at the external connectors Gigabyte provided the P55A-UD7 with one a PS2 mouse and keyboard connector, six USB 2.0/1.1 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, a firewire port, an eSATA connector, two gigabit ethernet ports, a SPDIF optical out as well as an analogue audio panel.
