Gigabyte provided the P55A-UD7 with a blue PCB. The memory slots received the standard Gigabyte colours. The passive cooling elements are blue, black and gray. Altogether the P55A-UD7 looks great and if we were asked we would say the combination looks "happy".

Also with the P55A-UD7 Gigabyte puts their 24 phase power design on the motherboard. VTT_CPU as well as memory, draw their power from two phases. Furthermore all the capacitors used for the power design are all-solid models which have a very long lifespan.

Totally you'll find four DIMM-slots on the Sabertooth. Officially supported are DDR3-2600+/2200/2000/1600/1333/1066 with up to 16 GByte capacity.

Southbridge as well as current converters are being held at adequate temperatures via a passive heatpipe cooling solution made of aluminium. You can even install an additional silent pipe which helps keeping the chipset at lower temperatures. Furthermore you'll also find fittings for a watercooling system on the chipset.
