Technical data / specifications

MSI equipped the GTX 275 Lightning with a unique PCB which features an eight plus two phase power design which allows the manufacturer to drive higher clock rates. Furthermore the card comes with a 448 bit memory interface and a huge amount of memory: 1792 MB in fact. What you can't see with your eyes is the ten layer PCB which is good for lower signal noise. The fact that you find a VGA port next to an HDMI and a DVI port is quite uncommon these days. Usually there are two DVI's and a HDMI.
We're very curious about the MSI's GTX 275 Lighning how it performs compared to the GTX 285. It might be that because of the higher clock rates but slightly poorer memory interface the MSI GTX 275 is a good competitor to the standard GTX 285. One thing about the Lighning is for sure already now. The idle power consumption of 27 Watts is on a very good level.
