Totally ASUS provided the Sabertooth with eight SATA ports of which four are straight and four a angled. The angled one are located below the memory slots and the two other ones can be found at the bottom edge of the motherboard. With these ports there might be a problem if you wish to set up a SLI/CrossFire System because in this case two out of four ports will be covered by the card. Nearly standard with ASUS motherboards these days are the Start, Reset, CLR-CMOS and MemOK! buttons which can be very useful, especially if you do overclocking.

Totally you'll find five fan header on the Sabertooth 55i which is more than enough, to provide a well equipped midrange or high-end-system with fresh air. The fanheaders are located around the CPU socket as well as at the bottom edge of the mainboard.

Looking at the external connectors ASUS provided the Sabertooth 55i with one a PS2 mouse and keyboard connector, eight USB 2.0/1.1 port, a firewire port, an eSATA connector, a gigabit ethernet port, a SPDIF optical out as well as an analogue audio panel.
