With the XAI SteelSeries created in cooperation with "pro-gamers" a very good mouse. The inconspicious product comes with an awful lot of technics under the hood. Overall you'll find ten indivudually programmable buttons as well as a LCD which is an nice but a bit complicated gadget. Meanwhile standard for a good gaming mouse is onboard memory which allows you to use the mouse at different PCs with the same settings.
The XAI which is suitable for left-handed as well as
right-handed players allows you a comfotable and natural attitude. The
relatively flat design might be a bit tricky for player which like to lift the
mouse. If you additionally have small hands you just can't stop touching the two
left buttons which are a bit too big. On the other hand very nice are the well
defined pressure points of all the four side buttons as well as the mouse wheel.
Looking at the main buttons on top it might take to much force until they
release.
Generally spoken the
software is good. We recommend that you take a moment to get a certain overview.
There are just an awful lot of options to choose from and you might lose your
focus. The big advantage definitely is that you're able to configure everything
imaginable.
If you're looking for a state-of-the-art gaming mouse you wont do anything wrong, buying a XAI. But we'd not recommend this mouse to players with small hands.
