Fazit

With the P7P55D-E Premium ASUS introduces its first mainboard with USB 3.0 as well as SATA 6 GB/s support. This motherboard also has a very appealing design and offers a wide variety of applications.

The P7P55D-E Premium leaves a well structured and clean impression. The different colors used for PCB, slots, connectors, ... harmonize very well and the whole board looks beautiful. Furthermore it is also practical because for example the angled SATA connectors allow installing even todays biggest graphics cards without encountering any incompatibilities. Also around the CPU socket you find plenty of space to put a massive cooler on your CPU.

Looking at the performance in the theoretical benchmarks the P7P55D-E Premium is average but with games it really scores. At this point the P7P55D-E Premium leaps ahead from the other manufacturers.

Also very userfriendly is the P7P55D-E Premium's BIOS. It is well structured and you'll make your way through it very quickly. Furthermore it is also very well temprered rearding settings you enter and it always reboots. Even if you enter settings of which you clearly know that they're to high it doesn't bother.

With the P7P55D-E Premium ASUS shows a very good mainboard which leaves nearly no wishes at all. We especially recommend the board to gamers which would like to get some extra performance due to the very easy automatic overclocking. But never the less also extreme overclockers might be interested in the motherobards 32 phase power design.

The ASUS P7P55D-E Premium can be bought at Digitec to a price of CHF 344.- (est. EUR 230.-).
