Features

Each of the eight slot bezels can be removed by releasing the corresponding thumbscrew. If you'd like to install a very long graphic card like for example a NVIDIA GTX 295 or an ATI Radeon 4870 X2 this isn't a problem at all thanks to the cases comfortable depth. Also with the side panels you'll find perfectly brushed aluminium as well as almost perfect fitting. At this point we have to mention even the case is not cheap, the quality shows all it's benefits. If we remove the side panel, we find lots of space to install hardware. All together you can install up to seven 3.5'' and two 5.25'' drives. The sidepanels are manufactured from 2 mm thick aluminium and on the inside of them they are equiped with noise absorbing mats. Up to six hard drives can be installed easily with the special screws delivered with the case. Unfortunately Lian Li hasn't thought of compatibility with SSDs. The SSD's do not fit in the harddrive cage at all. Once the screws are tightly fixed with the brackets on standard 3.5'' hard drives you can just push tem into the cage and they fit very appropriately. The SATA backpanel does not have any propper controller on the PCB. Therefore a compatible motherboard with RAID and SATA Hotswap functionality is needed. Here we would love to see an enhancement of the quality, especially for the soldered 12V cable.

There are several openings for the cablemanagement in the inside of the case. Oversized Graphiccards can be fixed with additional plastic brackets on the aluminium truss with the screws delivered with the case. This makes sense when the case needs to be transported. The disadvantages of the aluminium truss can cause problems when connecting the powercable to the graphics-cards. The aluminium truss can simply be removed over four thumbscrews to get more space for other installations.
