Acoustics

Headphone

One main focus when developing the 5H v2 were First Person Shooters. This is also one of the experiences you get when you put it onto your head. As soon as for example Counter Strike is started and you're in a game your opponents can be located very easily and clearly. This is the result of a frequency optimization towards First Person Shooters. On the other hand the advantage comes at a price. Because of the fact that there is more trebble and less bass as well less middle tones watching movies and listing to music might seem a bit flat. Fortunately Steelseries provided the 5H v2 with high qualitative driver units and you therefore can adjust the lower frequencies using an equalizer.

Microphone

Especially in VoIP programs as for example Skype the Steelseries 5H v2 knows to convice. Furthermore you wont need the micropohone. People on the otherside of the line can understand you very clearly.
Quite clever is the possibility to hide the microphone within the ear cup. Therefore it wont be damaged even if it is being treated very harshly. The microphone arm is also flexible that you can position it excatly where you need or want to.
