Overview

Features

Also with the side panels you'll find perfectly brushed aluminium as well as almost perfect fitting. At this point we have to mention even the case is not cheap, the quality shows all it's benefits. If we remove the side panel, we find lots of space to install hardware. All together you can install up to four 3.5'' and five 5.25'' drives. On the inside of the sidepanel there is a removable filter for the fan which can be removed to be clean. Up to four harddrives can be installed easily with the special screws and aluminium brackets delivered with the case. Unfortunately Lian Li hasn't thought of compatibility with SSDs. The SSD's do not fit in the harddrive cage. Once the screws are tightly fixed with the brackets on the hard drive you can just push it into the cage and they fit very appropriately. The SATA backpanel does not have any processor on the PCB. Therefore a compatible motherboard with RAID and SATA Hotswap functionality is needed.

If we take the side panel off we find lots of space to install hardware. Removing the side panel shows that the PC-9 is equipped with anti vibration clips on the top cover as well as anti vibration grommets on the bottom which absorbs the vibrations while enhancing a perfect fitting between the removable parts. Next to the harddrive cage there is an intake fan mounted which brings cool air to the HDD rack and exhausts it through the right side vent.
