Graphics

The Evolution Engine Darksector comes with, brings you good light effects and a gameplay without massive deacreases in the framerate. The level design as well as the fights have been propperly done and the devil is once again hiding in the details. Without particle effects and a basic physic engine the graphics look very static. Futhermore you'll also find that the textures are pixelated when you take a closer look. Also that you can't interact with the environment is a bit out of date. With Glavie you can cut chains mad of steel and as thick as an arme but when you throw it at a street lamp it won't even get a scratch. Explosions sometimes seem artificial and fire without smoke isn't realistic at all.

The good side is that the graphics enginge will easily run also on older PCs. Despite all special abilities as well as the use of Glavie are well done regarding the graphics. Also the boss fights are a welcome variety.
