Graphics

Also when we're looking at the graphics Tom Clancy's Hawx is very rich of details. Therefore it doesn't matter if you fly over a city like for example Rio de Janeiro or throught a valley. From above in the skies it always looks stunning. But when you look at buildings closer it becomes a little pixelated. The fighting jets are always very well designed and pretty much everything fits together. Even the condensation trail when you change direction quickly or breaking through the sonic barrier are nicely animated and designed.

Effects like explosions, smoke from fired rockets and parts originating from destroyed enemies let your adrenaline level rise and make the gaming experience more intense. Also when you're hit and an engine burns it looks realistically and finishing a mission will be a walk on a tightrope between evading and attacking.

The graphic engine bases on DirectX 10 and comes with a lot of little goodies. It is also well optimized that you can play the game fluetly. Even on DirectX 9 Systems the graphics look pretty nice and realistic. We also appreciate that one can set the level of detail in very small steps.
