Sapphires model of the 4890 is based on ATIs reference design. To hold the GPU, memory and capacitors at adequate temperatures the Radeon HD 4890 uses the same dual slot copper cooler as the 4870 but with a different lable. What has been changed is the rpm management of the radial fan. The card can now adjust the rotating speed all the way up to a pretty loud 5'000 rpm during full load.
If you had two cards, one 4890 and one 4870 without lable laying in front of you, it would be difficult to disinguish which is which.
As an additional power supply you get two 6-pin-connectors. It is noticeable that on the backside of the card you can find two more braze point next to one 6-pin-connector. Eventually AMD seems to let the board partners decide what they want to equip the card with. Probably further heavily overclocked versions of the card will come with a 6-pin and a 8-pin connector to really have a reliable power design even for very high clocks.
Further you'll find two HDCP Dual-Link-DVI and a SVideo-out connector at the cards bezel.
