Conclusion

Cryostasis is a shooter which is a bit different from what you know. Quests and horror paired up with a very good sound coulisse and detail rich graphics can convice. But especially at these levels of detail you hope for a gaming experience without heavy drops in the FPS rate and unfortunately these drops are so grave that we are hoping for a patch which make the game really playable.

Appealing and not to heavy quests in a dark but suitable level design affect the atmosphere in Croystasis positively. Unfortunately you can't adjust the level of difficulty in the game. Together with the engine which is even able to outperform an actual SLI based system with a Core i7 965 CPU Cryostasis will be one of the games you buy, play once and afterwards put into the bookshelf where it gets dusty over the time.
