Conclusion

Overall, the Gigabyte Brix is an good small form factor PC based on a cheap Intel Braswell CPU. Unlike other models, this little device allows you to use a 2.5" HDD/SSD which is more common and cheaper than the mSATA drive which you have to buy for other Intel NUC based PCs. The performance is sufficient for Microsoft Office and HTPC usage. For gaming or image editing the CPU is simply not powerful enough.

During our test, we have also measured temperatures and despite its small and very compact shape and the fanless cooler, the Brix from Gigabyte doesn't run too hot. The shape and the weight of the Brix is quite interesting since it's possible to create a portable PC, which can be place virtually everywhere thanks to the VESA mount. This particular Gigabyte Brix is available on Geizhals with a price of about 130 euro. In our opinion, the price is more than justified and for this reason we give the Gigabyte Brix 4 out of 5 stars.
