User Interface
The Wiko Highway Pure 4G ships with Android 4.4.4 KitKat. If you’re looking for an Android 5.0 Lollipop based smartphone we can tell you that the update is alrealy being rolled out. The ROM is slightly customized by the Wiko and there are quite a few interesting features. In general this ROM is very close to Google's original. We love the fact, that there is no bloatware. As you can see from the screenshots, there are many shortcuts that make the usage of the Highway Pure 4G easy and intuitive. Like many other devices on the market, you also get a small themes menu where you can change the overall looks of your Highway Pure 4G.
The performance of the ROM is great, and the device is quick and fast and there is no freezing, which is something we certainly expected from a device with a quad-core SoC and 2GB of memory.
Battery life
If you keep in mind that Wiko equipped this particular phone "only" with a 2000 mah battery pack up-time definitely ok. It is possible to device for a full day easily even if you’re not pushing it to the limits constantly. During our heavy usage tests we were able to achtive 7 hours and 44 Minutes of up-time, which is a decent value. As we already mentioned, a standard user will not struggle to stay off the power plug for an entire day. Charging the battery takes 2 hours and 37 minutes, which is quite longs, since there is no quick charging functionality.
