Conclusion

General +
The new EVGA GTX 960 SSC ACX 2.0 did well in our tests, had a great factory overclock and ships with a really good custom ACX 2.0 dual fan cooler. The overall manufacturing quality is on a great level and apart from that the ACX 2.0 is a very good cooler, capable of cooling the card noiselessly in idle.
EVGA also did a really good job regarding the factory overclocking of this particular card. The fact that the GPU overclocks to more than 1440 MHz makes this one of the fastest GTX 960 graphics cards available. Even the pricing of this card is attractive, since this particular GTX 960 costs 25 Euro more than the reference card.

Cooling / Noise Level   + -
As noted earlier, the ACX 2.0 dual-fan cooler is very good and definitely runs circles around the reference solution. EVGA made a new BIOS to make the card run even more silent, especially in case of 2D or light gaming. The fans start spinning when the temprature is over 60°C.   - Inaudible in 2D

Performance   + -
The performance is where the EVGA GTX 960 SSC ACX 2.0 is on a very competitive level. There is an impressive factory overclocking and the card hits 1440 MHz in games. Nevertheless we would have loved to see EVGA push the boundries even further regarding the memory, which has not been overclocked.

The power consumption of the EVGA GTX 960 SSC ACX 2.0 is good in idle with power consumption of the entire setup at 58W. Under load, the new GTX 960 SSC ACX 2.0 pulls 213 Watts. Overall this is an energy efficient card, but since there is a massive factory overclock power consumption is a bit higher than with other GTX 960 graphics cards.

Recommendation / Price   + -
At the moment we find this card listed in Europe for 206 Euro, which is competitive for card with such a high factory overclock, custom PCB and custom cooler. Should you be looking for a fast and silent GeForce GTX 960, then this card can definitely be recommended.   - Gaming
- Overclocking

The EVGA GTX 960 2GB SSC ACX 2.0 receives excellent 5 out of 5 stars.
