With the MX Board 6.0, Cherry has a keyboard with standard layout in its portfolio, but nevertheless there are some interesting features. Since Cherry is the manufacturer behind most mechanical switches in today's gaming keyboards, they company definitely knows what they are doing when it comes to their MX Board 6.0. A closer look shows that there is for example an additional chip, which enables a communication between your computer and the keyboard, which is instantaneous. According to Cherry an average keyboard has about 20 milliseconds respons time, whereas the MX Board 6.0 manages 1 millisecond. And this is thanks to the so called Realkey feature.
Checking the dimensions we find the MX Board 6.0 to measure 454mm x 147mm x 28mm, weighing well above one kilogram. The device is made of ABS plastic and sanded aluminum. The palm rest ist equally well manufactured and it blends in perfectly. If you want to attach the wrist rest to the keyboard magnets will keep in palce.
As we mentioned at the beginning o this paragraph, this keyboard doesn't come with any macro buttons, but still the F-buttons are programmed with additional functions.
Cherry decided to equip this particular keyboard with their Cherry MX Red mechanical switches and an almost entirely red backlight, meaning that there are only a few hot keys, which received blue backlighting. As expected the feedback is excellent and the key travel is perfectly precise and the differently shaped keycaps ensure good grip. The keycaps are also made of plastic as well and the finish feels great and it should endure lots of keystrokes.

If you lift up and rotate the Cherry MX Board 6.0 you will understand how robust this product actually is. The build quality is on an extraordinarily high level and you
won't find any detail that doesn't fit perfectly. Even the hardcore gamer will enjoy this keyboard for a long time. Regarding connectivity, Cherry decided to use a black sleeved USB 2.0 cable. There are two little feet, with rubber finish, which are used to adjust the angle of the keyboard.
