| With the 500K, Cougar has created a gaming keyboard which has almost no flaws at all. We liked the fact that this keyboard has some very good features like macro and multimedia buttons as well as a double wrist rest. The orange backlight is completly customizable and the software is easy to use. |

| The Cougar 500K gaming keyboard is really comfortable to use, all the keys are well placed and easy to reach so you will not find yourself pressing the wrong key by accident. It also comes with five programmable G-Key buttons, which are placed on the left side of the keyboard, while the sixth G-Key button is the second part of the space bar. Despite the initial doubt regarding this split space bar design, we have to admit that Cougar's solution is well designed, since you can easily access the sixth G-Key with your thumb. However, out of the box, the G6-design is not assigned and therefore if you use the space bar with your right hand you will miss several key presses at first. In addition to standard programmable buttons, the Cougar 500K also has multimedia keys, which make the usage of the keyboard much easier. Despite it is not a mechanical keyboard like the 700K, the feeling and the response from each button is good. Naturally since it uses rubber dome system, the typing noise is at its minimum. |

| Unlike other manufacturers, Cougar had to save a bit money since the software is not bundled in the package and you have to download it from the manufacturers site. The software is clear and precise, the functions are few and easy to edit. The GUI is well made and in line with the style of the keyboard. |

| If you are bored with the classic design of most keyboards on the market and you are looking for a unique product, with high-quality materials and finish, we can definitely recommend the 500K from Cougar. A closer look at the price of the Cougar 500K reveals that you have to pay around US $80 in order enjoy this keyboard and we are sure that it will be also be available in Europe soon. For this price, you get a gaming keyboard, which features rubber dome switches, customizable backlight and a good bundle. Since the 600K and the 700K use an aluminum body, we would have liked to see it on the 500K as well, but that would significantly raise the price as well. | - Gaming
