Conclusion
The design of the Fuel+ is clean and simple. Patriot
actually has seven different models of the Fuel and on each one, the box is very solid and
light at same time. Each model varies in dimension since there is a different amount of battery
capacity inside. The Fuel+ 9000 weight 195 grams and measures 9.4 x 11.4 x 2.5 cm. On
the side, it features a power button with a small LED indicator that shows the recharge in 4 different steps (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%). Regarding the connections, there is a microUSB on a side for charging the Fuel+ and two USB2.0 ports on the other side for charging your phone, tablet
or any other device.
One port provides 1A and the other 2.5A.
Depending on the model of your Fuel+ and from the battery capacity as well as
the device you are charging, you will be able to do the decent number of charges. We tested the Fuel+ 9000 with the Motorola Moto G (2070 mAh) and we
managed to squeeze out four complete charges. In all cases, the batteries on the phones were completely discharged before charging and we think that is a very good result. Patriot
did not include only two USB headers for a faster or a double recharge but Fuel+
also features a power pass through which allows you to charge your device and recharge the
Fuel+ battery at same time. This is very convenient if you are, for example, in a hotel room with only one AC power plug. In addition, Patriot included also a safeguards against under-discharge, over-charge, and short-circuit, with built-in protection to ensure efficient and safe charging cycles.
Like we mentioned, there are several models for every kind of pocket and wallet. Checking on Geizhals, we find the Patriot Fuel+ 9000 with a starting price of 54 EUR excluding shipping costs. The price is very good as well as perfomance.
We give the Patriot Fuel+ 9000 good 4 out of 5 stars.
