Patriot took great and impressive care of every single detail and aspect of the Supersonic Magnum USB 3.0 flash drive, from design to performance. The main feature of the Patriot Supersonic Magnum is its aluminum body, shock resistant up to 15G, good workmanship and quality. Despite the capacity of 128GB, the dimensions are however rather decent and similar to our Corsair Voyager flash drive. Patriot's Supersonic Magnum is available in 64, 128 and 256GB with 5 years of warranty.

The Patriot Supersonic Magnum 128GB is a product of high performance and capacity. The performance results obtained during our tests are really impressive. Using CrystalDiskMark we got up to 278 MB/s in sequential read and up to 103 MB/s in sequential write. This latter value is lower than that declared by the company, up to 160 MB/s, while sequential read performance that we got is actually higher by 19%. The performance results of the product usually depend on the actual type of the file you are reading or writing, with AS-SSD and the test copy we have reached rather interesting values ​.

The USB3.0 flash drives with high performance are still far from being affordable and by making a quick calculation we find the same dollar per gigabyte ratio that we have with high-end SSDs. However, if you are an enthusiast user, want fast, compact and good looking USB flash drive, we can definitely recommend the Patriot Supersonic Magnum. The market offers several USB3.0 models but only a few are able to achieve the performance of this small but fast product.
