Conclusion

General   + -
With 1.56kg, Tesoro has developed a solid and heavy keyboard. The weight in addition to rubber feet, ensures that the Colada doesn't move abount on your desk. The brushed aluminium this keyboard is from gives it a high-quality touch and we also like the plastics used. The only negative aspect is about the audio connectors which is too tight and some 3.5mm jacks simply won't fit.   - Design
- Weight
- Audio connectors too tight

Manufacturing quality / Ergonomics   + -
The backlight is clear, precise and overall very pleasing. A good idea, that's what the LED sidebars were and it give the Colada a futuristic touch. The function keys are comfortable and practical but we would have loved to find a wheel to adjust the volume. The Colada is equipped with the best mechanical switches on the market and offers the ability to record up to 300 macros per profile. The key travel is precise and linear, the answer is always immediate and perfect as you would expect from a mechanical keyboard in this range. Despite the double adjustment of the height, we would like to find a palmrest as is present in the Durandal. In any case, the feedback provided by the keyboard is overall positive and comfortable.   - Build quality
- Backlight
- No palmrest

Software   + -
The software is well structured and easy to use. Very good is the possibility to import and export profiles, this function is useful in case of backup or sharing with friends. A single note regards the lack of integration of other Tesoro products, which means that if you own a Tesoro mouse you'll have two icons in the Taskbar. With the software you will able to record macros, change profiles and change the color of sidebars (eventually also turn them off).   - Import / export profiles

Recommendation   + -
On Geizhals.eu, the Colada G3NL costs 170 Euro without shipping costs. In terms of value, the Colada is certainly a high quality product but could be improved in some aspects. The price is slightly higher than offers from competitors, which have also been made from aluminium, but the Colada has a unique design and a really nice sidebar illumination.     - Price
