With the HCP-1000 Platinum from Antec you get a fully modular power supply. Since this is a high-end unit with high output power we would have expected quite a few more cables in the delivery. Especially regarding the PCI-Express cables we would like to see at least two more, if not even four.
On another note we had a closer look at the load distribution, which has been designed very reasonably. It almost doesn't matter which cable you connect where or where you put how much load.

The design is based on one single 12V rail. However this 12V Rail is then split into four rails for further distribution. Each of these four rails gets its own OCP protection. In our opinion it is good that the manufacturer split the rail, which is because of security reasons. Antec provides clear information about the rails and the OCP levels. Due to the fact that the rails can be configured almost without constraints OCP issues should not occour.
