With the K65, Corsair has created an interesting gaming keyboard with a compact size, in fact the K65 basically just lacks the num pad. The keyboard shares the materials and the design of the bigger sisters. The base plate is made of brushed aluminium and makes this keyboard very solid and sturdy. The contrast between the keys and the top is very nice, the blacks keys stand out in an evident way giving an elegant design. In the top right corner you find three media keys to control the audio volume and a button to lock the Windows key. The last quartet of the F keys (F9 to F12) has a dual multimedia function that can be activated by the FN key, located between Alt Gr and Control. K65 is a mechanical keyboard and uses Cherry MX Red mechanical switch, which are great for the hardcore gamers but also for writing long texts. Corsair has also covered the keys with a nice coating that provides excellent grip.

Lifting up the K65 will gives a clue why this keyboard sticks to the desk quite nicely. There are four rubber feet as well as the two feet that fold-out to alter the angle of the K65. The rear part of K65 is made from robust plastic, which features a black painting. The USB cable has been sleeved and comes with blue connectors, is removable and has a length of 1.55 meters. On the rear profile of K65 there is a switch called BIOS, relating to the adjustment of the polling rate.
